Hello, my name is Lunaelle and I am 18 years old. My main interests are music, photography, Asian culture, and of course, anime. I am very outgoing and friendly. I may seem shy at first, but that trait of my personality dissapears once I open my mouth Despite all that I am quite insightful and calm when it comes to serious matters. Long story short-I am worth getting to know!
I am a fantasy/romance (duh!)/ shounen-ai (lately) kind of girl, but that does not mean I don't watch anything else-it just means that these are the genres I fell most familiar with. Besides that, I'll watch anything, really, as long as the plot interests me (so feel free to recommend anything that's not already on my list, I'll really appreciate it). I believe there is more to any anime than what meets the eye, so even if I do list an anime in my Dislikes section, all it means is that it didn't impress me, or that I didn't get what the authors tried to say (Utena, for example).
My anime preferences change. A LOT and OFTEN . I remember times when I loved Sailor Moon (oh how long ago that was...). Then, I was feeling like something psychological and apocalyptic (don't ask) and vuala-Neon Genesis Evangelion. Then something shoujo-like:Pretear, Fruits Basket..And then 180 degrees turn to Elfen Lied and Saikano. I've watched plenty, but I must say that there are only few anime series (or movies) that I've found truly memorable.
They were:
Ayashi no Ceres-very touching. I am yet to read the manga. Gravitation-my shonen-ai self was hyperventilating Spirited Away- nothing less of superb Junjou Romantica-shounen ai, a rare anime where there is just enough humor and just enough drama to make the plot really addicting
Some of the others I thought I should mention:
FAKE Ova-that was just sweet (shounen-ai) 5cm per Second-very touching Whisper of the Heart-innocent romance Victorian Romance Emma Acts I and II-just how the title says, great romance Kare Kano-school romance, sweet and ... competitive! Grave of the Fireflies-very sad, one of the older must-watch anime movies Voices of a Distant Star-if you have spare 20 minutes or so, this is the best way to spend them. You won't be dissapointed if you like romance as much as I do. Kiddy Grade-a bit of fanservice, and really great plot once you get past ep.5 or so (season II coming out)
WARNING, following are yaoi:
Kizuna Ova's-warning, yaoi, but really nice plot. Winter Cicada-the saddest yaoi I've ever seen, truly remarkable. and last, but certainly not least:
Ai No Kusabi- Got me all teary-eyed Sad, yet beautiful.
Well, that's it about me! Thanks for reading and NICE TO MEET YOU!
